This page explains what clinical research is and what your rights are. It does not advertise or offer any specific study.
Clinical research is the set of studies that assesses, with method and oversight, whether a new treatment is safe and effective before it becomes available to the public. No medicine reaches a pharmacy without going through these stages — and every stage depends on people who agree to take part.
You receive the Informed Consent Form, covering objectives, procedures, risks and alternatives, and you have all the time you need to read it, ask questions and talk it over with whoever you wish.
The decision is always yours. You may decline or withdraw your consent at any time, without giving a reason and without any impact on your care.
Throughout the study you are followed by a health team, with an open channel for questions and for reporting any symptom or discomfort.
Every study is approved in advance by a Research Ethics Committee and conducted under Law 14.874/2024 and international good clinical practice.
Your data is handled under Brazil's LGPD, in coded form, and is never used for a purpose other than the one you authorized.
Taking part in a study is not a guarantee of health benefit, and no page on this site offers treatment. Referral to a study is always a medical decision, made together with your health professional and the site team.
